Town Hall for Mercy

People are scared. Our kin – immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, trans and nonbinary people - are under attack. In these perilous times, Hadwen Park Congregational Church UCC holds firm with Jesus, calling for mercy and care for the oppressed and the vulnerable. Come show solidarity and love for our vulnerable kin, learn about our rights under the 4th Amendment, raise our voices in lament and resistance, and celebrate the joy that runs through the world even in the midst of hard times. God is good, even now. Let us push back against hate and fear and follow Jesus by practicing radical love and welcome for ALL of God’s children.

Book Club

Join our Book Club - All are welcome! This month, we are reading Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan. Here is a description: “This novel tells the story of Bill Furlong, a coal and timber merchant in a small Irish town, whose disturbing discovery at the local convent leads to an exploration of themes such as morality, religion, and community obligations.

“Through Keegan's crystalline prose, the seemingly simple tale evolves into a profound meditation on conscience, courage, and the cost of remaining silent in the face of institutional cruelty.”
